About Us
Since graduating in 2014, Flo worked as an editorial/graphic designer. After returning from travelling Iceland in March 2017, having been inspired by the stunning landscapes, Flo decided to spend her free time exploring digital illustration. She began creating travel poster style artwork from her holiday snaps to fill her home with memories. By October 2017, Flo had been suitably convinced her art was ready to share with the world and set up (Etsy) shop.
Flo continued to expand her portfolio of art prints and improved her technique, building a successful business in her spare time. In June 2019 she left her full-time role as Senior Designer/Production Manager to build on the success of her business.
Flo enjoyed a rural childhood in Norfolk and Suffolk. She has recently returned to Norwich, having spent 5 years living in Finchingfield and Saffron Walden in North Essex. Flo often draws on the beauty of her surroundings as inspiration for her collection of local artwork.
In September 2020 the Heyday Designs team expanded, with the welcome addition of Production Assistant, Claire, Flo's mum and biggest cheerleader. Claire is a lover of all things art and interiors and now manages the packing and fulfilment of orders.
In addition to the Heyday Designs official website, the Thomas duo continue to sell through Flo's original Etsy shop, Not on the High Street and supply to independent retailers in the UK, France and USA.
